I am Gemma and I am a Psychological Therapist, trained and qualified as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Clinical Hypnotherapist. I use a mix of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness and other Psychotherapeutic practices to assist you in achieving your goals.
I am passionate about helping people and feel privileged to be able to take this step with you in your journey. I understand that the prospect of seeking therapy can be a daunting one and offer a safe and non-judgemental space to explore your difficulties in order to create a positive and lasting change in your life. I believe that the human experience is made of mind, body and soul, and that all three must be in working order so that a free flow of energy is achieved, as such I work in a holistic and person-centred way understanding that each persons experience and needs are unique.
I specialise in working with adults and I work with clients seeking support with depression, anxiety, self limiting beliefs, self care, goal attainment, trauma and addiction. If you’re not sure if I can work with your circumstances please get in touch and we can have an initial discussion around your needs.
Clear Water Therapy is a Private Practice owned by myself.
I’m an ethical practitioner adhering to professional standards and I always provide an unconditional, safe and nurturing atmosphere in which to grow and heal.
If you require a personal consultation at my clinic please call me or email me to arrange.
My clinic is based in Musselburgh, East Lothian, Scotland.

I work as both a short term and long term therapist and treatment is always collaborative. Although some clients may require 6 sessions its not uncommon for people to prefer more.

I hold professional registration with The General Hypnotherapy Register and The General Hypnotherapy Standards Council
I am also a Registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have a current PVG for working with adults and children, in addition to this I have up to date Child Protection training.
